About Advena Sàrl Luxembourg

Two professions,
under one roof.

A Luxembourg firm founded in 2026 by Azz and Ouss, at the crossroads of certified finance and SME digitalization. For business owners who don't want to juggle five different providers.

— The why behind Advena

SMEs deserve better
than a disconnected tool and outdated financials.

Most small and mid-sized business owners in Luxembourg live the same story on the finance side. An accountant who collects the invoices, a set of financial statements that lands in May for the previous year, a fiduciary who answers in bits and pieces when you call. And in between, twelve months when you have to steer on instinct.

On the digital side, the same half-measures. A website thrown together by a freelancer with no follow-up, an ERP installed with no one to explain how to use it, tools that pile up without ever really talking to each other. Digitalization becomes a mental burden instead of a lever — each tool adds a new interface to learn without removing any of the existing work.

Advena was born out of these two shared frustrations. We built a firm that combines certified finance and the digitalization of tools, two disciplines that are usually kept separate, in service of a single audience: Luxembourg SMEs that have decided to take control, not be controlled.

— Who runs Advena

Two paths, one obsession.

We learned this craft in international audit and financial advisory firms. We came to understand it by building our own entrepreneurial ventures. We rebuilt it with Advena.

01 · Finance & Steering

Azz

Co-founder

Over ten years in audit and financial advisory at international firms, where he supported companies across every sector, from industry to banking, from hospitality to investment funds. Additional qualification for entry to the chartered accountant profession completed in 2023, additional qualification for entry to the statutory auditor profession completed in 2025. In parallel, he has co-founded two entrepreneurial ventures since 2016: a platform centralizing home-improvement trades, and a SaaS project for early-childhood care facilities.

An SME owner must stop serving their accounting. It's their accounting that should serve them.

Ouss

Co-founder · Managing director

Bachelor's degree from UCLouvain Saint-Louis Brussels, master's from the Louvain School of Management. Two years at an international consulting firm, then three years at an Odoo integration firm in Luxembourg, where he deployed dozens of ERP projects for SMEs. Alongside this, he launched and ran an e-commerce cosmetics distribution business between Asia and Europe for three years. Like Azz, he is training in applied AI and agentic AI to integrate them into Advena's solutions.

A system you feed without getting anything back is no better than a notebook. A system should deliver the data that moves you forward.

— The genesis of Advena

A coffee in Luxembourg, June 2025.

Azz and Ouss met at an international firm, on an engagement for a shared client. Between meetings, the conversation always drifted back to the same question: isn't there a better way to serve SMEs, given that they make up 3/4 of the economy?

In the years that followed, each stayed in his own lane. Azz in audit and financial advisory, Ouss in ERP integration. But over every coffee, the pattern came into sharper focus. Ouss noticed that on SME digitalization projects, financial expertise was always missing, either absent, or too generic to answer the real accounting questions. Azz noticed that SME business owners were flying blind, for lack of readable financial data at the right moment.

The turning point came from an ordinary conversation, at another café this time. A hairdresser friend of Azz's had just launched his own salon as an independent. Every time Azz asked him how things were going, the answer was the same: "I don't know, I send the invoices to my accountant and wait for the financial statements at the end of the year." A business owner should never have to say that.

In June 2025, Azz and Ouss sat down and decided to found a firm that would do what neither traditional fiduciaries nor digital agencies knew how to do: combine certified finance with technical mastery, exclusively serving micro-businesses and SMEs. Advena was incorporated six months later.

— What we stand for

Five principles
we won't negotiate on.

We are not neutral consultants. We hold convictions about how to serve an SME, and those convictions shape every engagement we take on.

01

Transparent pricing, never by the hour.

Our packages are defined before the engagement, validated together, and locked in the engagement letter. No man-days, no surprise at the end of the month, no "small extra to bill." You know what you're paying, and for what.

02

Your numbers, every month, clear and readable.

Financial data that arrives a year too late only lets you note what happened. We deliver monthly dashboards by D+10, designed so a non-financial business owner can grasp them in five minutes and make decisions the moment they finish reading.

03

Jargon is a barrier, not proof of expertise.

We explain what working capital is in plain words, what gross margin is with a worked example, and what a depreciation charge is when it matters. No jargon for its own sake. Finance and digital belong to business owners, not to the experts who advise them.

04

We're in the project, with you.

A consultant hands over a deliverable and walks away. A partner stays to see whether that deliverable produces the intended effect. We work in close, long-term proximity, present at strategic committees, reachable for a five-minute question, committed to the performance our engagements are meant to generate.

05

Digital isn't decorative.

An ERP that doesn't surface any figures, an automation that's never used, an AI that answers off the mark — all tools that cost money without producing anything. We deploy solutions because they will specifically save time, smooth a decision, or raise a margin. Otherwise, we don't deploy them.

— Where we're headed

Become the go-to firm for
Luxembourg SMEs that want to take control.

Our five-year ambition is clear and deliberately focused. We want to become the go-to firm in Luxembourg for the small and mid-sized businesses that have realized steering their company takes more than an annual financial statement. This rests on three concrete commitments: automating 99% of low-value accounting tasks, making financial information available in real time to each of our clients, and continuing to integrate the tools, Odoo, AI, automation, that free up business owners' time so they can get back to what they do best: their craft.
